The Bike Advice: Suzuki Inazuma 250 a tough competitor for Honda CBR250R

All the major companies are aiming in quarter liter segment. Suzuki motors of Japan released parallel twin cylinder bike Suzuki Inazuma 250 in UK. The on road price of the Suzuki Inazuma is £3 ,499 (Rs. 3 lakhs approx.) which is cheaper compared to Honda CBR250R by £500 (Rs. 43,000 approx.) and also £1100 (Rs. 94,000 approx.) than Kawasaki Ninja 250R.

This quarter liter bike is liquid cooled, SOHC, twin cylinder, fuel injected, 250cc engine. It delivers maximum of 26bhp@ 8500rpm and maximum torque of 24.2 Nm@ 7,000 rpm. The Inazuma 250 comes with Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) system for better throttle response and combustion. It also has Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) servo-controlled butterfly valve which enhances low to mid range torque. This helps the bike to commute in city.

This is a naked styled bike. It has dual exhaust. The bike has very nice instrumental panel. It consists of analog tachometer and a large digital LCD display which shows gear position, coolant temperature, odometer, trip meter, fuel consumption meter clock and a 3 mode rpm indicator to have better fuel efficiency and power for individual riding style. At present the bike is available in two colors Black and Candy Cardinal Red. The bike will be in the showroom in September.

Will Suzuki Inazuma 250 be launched in India?

Well there is no official news about the bike to be launched in India. If it is released in India, the bike will have tough competition on Honda CBR250R as it will be a little lower price than the CBR.
