Tips to increase mileage

1.Ride at optimum speed. Even going too slow or fast will hamper the mileage of the vehicle.

2.Travel light. Remove the unwanted weight from your vehicle. For example: If you are a bachelor living on your own and pillion does not wear saree then there is no use of saree guard.

3. Start the bike in morning preferably by kick start and leave the bike for 5 min. This enables the oil to flow and there will be smooth movement of piston .

4. Check your mileage with the different brands of petrol. Then choose the best which suits your vehicle. If the manufacturers have prescribed the oil then go for it.

5. Keep checking your vehicles tyre pressure. A little more pressure on your bike will yeild more mileage but its not advisable as it decrease the road grip of the vehicle.

6. In day time if you park your vehicle in sunlight it results in vaporization of the fuel. Many may argue that the fuel tank is sealed and all, but the truth is there is a air vent hole in the fuel tank.

7. If you happen to use choke during cold condition check to it that you switch it back to normal condition after you reach an optimum speed.

8. Do not accelerate at a sudden. Let the vehicle get its speed by average acceleration. And even do not brake all of a sudden (except during emergency) plan for it. A good driver controls the vehicle only by using throttle.

9. Engine idling is also an important concept. Set 1000rpm. This will be enough to expect good mileage
10. Don't expect more mileage from a higher cc/weight vehicle. So opt for the vehicle which suits you.

11.Regular servicing.

Happy and safe riding :)
